Why did we choose bullying?
We chose bullying because bullying has been a great problem in many schools including in ours.
What is Bullying?
Bullying is the action of using superior strength to force someone to intimidate someone typically to make the victim do what the bully wants
Types of Bullying
Verbal Bullying is saying or writing hurtful/mean things.
1. Hitting/ kicking/ punching
2. Spitting
3. tripping/pushing
4. taking/breaking someone’s thing
5. Making mean or rude hand gestures
6. Pulling pants
7. peeing on something/someone to humiliate
Cyber Bullying
Causes of Bullying
Difference (being different)
Bully’s sometimes cannot control their own emotions
The bully may think he is playing a harmless joke
They don’t care how others feel
The bully wants to feel better about himself/herself
Etc.
Effects of bullying
Depression
Headache or nausea
They discontinue their hobby’s for example not doing sports
Decreased academic achievement
Bullies and bystanders are also more likely to abuse alcohol, tobacco and drugs
More likely to skip school
Decreased self-esteem
Prevention of bullying
Do not be a bully yourself
treat others with respect
tell the bully to stop
Ignore the bully(most recommended first resort)
tell any responsible adult you trust like a teacher a parent maybe even a guidance counselor
Cyber- bullying
keep your social media account password's secret
Keep personal space
When cyber-bullied report immediately
DO NOT let people take photos or videos of you for no reason
